World Research Union is inviting a select group of distinguished academics to establish and lead WRU Regional Chapters — becoming the face of global research in their communities.

This is not a membership. This is a mandate. WRU Chapters are granted to doctoral researchers with proven academic standing, active research records, and the vision to activate research at a regional level.

Who Can Apply

Eligibility Criteria

WRU approves chapters based on academic standing, research credibility, and the capacity to lead — not enthusiasm alone.

Doctoral degree holder — PhD, DBA, or equivalent from a recognised university

Currently affiliated with a recognised university or research institution

Active research record within the past five years — publications, projects, or peer-reviewed contributions

Strong international academic network verifiable through collaborations and affiliations

Commitment to attend the WRU Annual Meet at headquarters or prescribed venue annually

Capacity to guide, mentor, and lead a local research incubation unit

The annual chapter licence fee is USD 250 — payable on approval. This covers your chapter page, badge, certificate, digital launch kit, and all WRU chapter privileges for twelve months.

What You Earn

To keep chapters self-sustaining, WRU provides revenue-sharing arrangements on all approved chapter activities.

80% yours · 20% to WRU
Workshops and Training Events
You design it, you run it, you keep 80%. A single well-attended workshop typically covers your annual licence fee in full.
70% yours · 30% to WRU
WRUTed Local Research Talks
Host a WRUTed talk in your region. Revenue after expenses is split 70% to you, 30% to WRU for global promotion.
Success Fee
Institutional Partnerships
When a university or research centre joins WRU through your introduction, you receive a fee proportionate to the partnership value.
Referral Commission
Conference Pipeline
Refer participants to WRU conferences across Europe and USA. Commission structure communicated ahead of each conference cycle.
Contribution Share
Research Incubation Projects
Projects originating from your chapter that generate income through WRU earn you a contribution-based share.
Referral Credit
Member Referrals
Every researcher you bring into WRU earns you a referral credit. As your chapter grows, this compounds meaningfully.
